'Madak' Competition For Students In The Arab World


The Saudi Space Agency (SSA), in cooperation with Misk Foundation and Ilmi Science Discovery & Innovation Center, launched today Madak competition for students in the Arab world with the aim of increasing Arab contributions to the field of space science.

Event Details:

  • Event: 'Madak' Competition For Students In The Arab World.
  • Age Group: The competition targets students between 6 and 18 years of age. 
  • Target Audience: The competition is open to students from the Arab world who are interested in the field of space and its sciences.
  • Objective: The competition aims to provide students with distinctive opportunities in space sciences, encouraging them to participate in innovative and creative projects related to space.
  • Categories: Through three categories:  (Arts, Agriculture, and Engineering)

  • Note
  1. The winning submissions are expected to be sent to the ISS in the fourth quarter of the current year, 2024, which opens new horizons for students to see their creativity reach space.
  2. It will be supervised by Saudi astronaut Rayyanah Barnawi, the first Arab Muslim astronaut who conducted 14 experiments aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

The competition will have an impact on students by enriching their contributions in the fields of space and its sciences, enhancing research and innovation, motivating generations to participate in science fields, and supporting gifted and creative individuals.
