  • Notes for PYP School (KG1 to Grade 5) students:
  • We respect that some students will choose to fast or attempt to fast for the Holy Month, and IPS is supportive of these goals.
  • In case of emergency, all students must have a small snack and drink (or water bottle) with them during Holy Month of Ramadan school days. This is a health and safety precaution, as no food is available for sale at school during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
  • One period per day will be recess - half for indoor snack time and half for outdoor play time.
  • During break time, students who are choosing to fast will be with their classmates, some of whom may be eating and drinking. We ask that all students respect each other’s choices and that this is discussed at home to avoid any conflict.
  • If your child chooses to fast for the day, they are welcome to bring in a pillow or blanket to relax with during the recess.

These adjustments have been made to accommodate the needs of both students and teachers during this holy month. Wishing you a beautiful month ahead and Ramada Mubarak!
