IPS and Celebration of Saudi Arabia National Day

Hello IPS Families,

 

We hope your weekend has gone well!  This week classrooms will be working on a variety of Saudi Arabia focused activities (all week); Student Council (STUCO) is sponsoring a number of events (Tuesday & Thursday); parents/families are invited to join us for a community after-school event in the gym (Wednesday).  Here are some details:

1.    from STUCO Executive Board:   Join us in the celebration of Saudi National Day by dressing up to school for this holiday: 

1.    Tuesday, Sep 26th- Green and white. Please make sure you wear green and white, with no tight clothing or explicit words on the clothes, or wear your uniform. Students may also come to school with face paint.

2.    Thursday, Sep 28th- Traditional Saudi clothing. Girls can wear jalabiyas or abayas, boys in thob, or stay in uniform.

3.    Dates and Arabic coffee will be served near the front gates early in the morning on Tuesday, Sep 26. Don’t miss out and come early!

2.    from Ms. Elham and volunteer parents: Please join us for a celebration of Saudi History and Culture on Wednesday, September 27th from 3:15-4:15 in the IPS Gym. Families interested in helping are encouraged to contact Ms. Elman (elham.aljafar@ipsksa.com).  ALL are invited to join with their children - details about parking/traffic are forthcoming.
