Dear Parents,
At IPS, the safeguarding of our students remains our highest priority.
Across the world, platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat et al are being maliciously used to target young people. Certain groups lure children in, only to expose them to harmful material such as graphic imagery or radicalised content.
IPS has in place strict policies that prohibit the use of phones during the school day. We also maintain strong filtering systems on our networks to protect students while they are with us.
However, it is important to remember that the time students spend at school represents less than 15% of their entire year. The vast majority of their online exposure occurs outside our immediate care; before and after school, during weekends and holidays.
It is therefore imperative that we work in partnership.
We respectfully urge all parents to:
This is a shared responsibility, and by staying vigilant together, we strengthen the safety net around every child. It is important to emphasise: this is not about creating fear, but about building confidence and awareness so that our children can enjoy the benefits of technology while remaining protected from its dangers. We will continue to raise awareness of this issue through our school communication and our education programmes.
Yours sincerely,
Dear KG - Grade 5 Parents,
IPS is thrilled to announce our annual "Splash Day" activity for PYP students. Please find the detailed invitation below.
