IPS Important Announcements – Wednesday, 12th November 2025 

Announcement 01: Semester 1 Final Exam Schedule- 2025-2026.

Final exams for students in grades 6-12 will take place from December 10 to 17  in homeroom classes. See the link for the schedule. 

If a student is absent, he or she will need to submit a medical note from a doctor in order to take a make-up exam. No students will be allowed to make up an exam if this is not provided. 

Below are the exam guidelines for students:

  • All students must wear their uniform during exams
  • Arrive early and enter the gym
  • Be on your best behavior. No talking is allowed during the exams
  • Bring the required supplies in a clear ziplock bag and a water bottle
  • Calculators are allowed only if permitted by the teacher
  • No phones or computers are allowed
  • Exams will be taken using a Blue ballpoint pen, bringing an extra pen for emergency
  • Wait in front of the exam hall until called by the proctor/teacher. i.e. 5 min. before the exam starts
  • Keep all books, laptops, or personal belongings outside the exam hall
  • Keep exam papers neat and clean
  • Give only ONE answer to each question. Multiple answers will be deleted
  • Review the exam paper before handing it to the proctor. You may not retrieve the exam once it has been submitted.
  • Students will remain in the exam room up until the end of the exam. Students may bring a book to read once the exam has finished.
  • Any student who fails an exam must take a credit recovery exam the week of 5-8  January, 2026.

Dismissal Instructions:

  • Students will be released either at 9:30 or 11:30, based on the final exam schedule.
  • Boys must be picked up from Gate 1 and girls from Gate 2
  • Anyone riding a bus (boy or girl) will be picked up at Gate 2
  • If a student rides the bus, transportation must be arranged with the bus company
  • Gates will be closed at 10:00 or 12:00
  • Students may not remain at school until 2:55

Announcement 02:  The Makkah Trip for the Girls’ School (Grades 7-12).

We are pleased to announce a special trip to Makkah for IPS students from Thursday, December 4, 2025 to Saturday, December 6, 2025. This journey offers a unique opportunity for spiritual growth and educational enrichment through performing Umrah and visiting significant Islamic landmarks in the Holy City.

    • Disclosure of any health conditions that may be affected by travel is required.
    • For payment purposes, students wishing to register for the trip can visit the Finance Office on the second floor of Building A.

Announcement 03: IPS Launches Smart Cafeteria Payment Services in Partnership with WAKI and Baba Khabbaz. 

We are delighted to announce the launch of WAKI Smart Payment Services at the International Programs School (IPS), in partnership with Baba Khabbaz Restaurant. This initiative reflects IPS’s continued commitment to innovation, digital transformation, and the integration of modern technology in student life.

What is WAKI?

WAKI is a smart digital payment platform that allows students to make secure, cashless purchases at the school canteen and kiosks in collaboration with Baba Khabbaz. It provides a seamless, safe, and modern experience that supports IPS’s vision for a future-ready learning environment.

Students can complete transactions using one of several convenient methods:

  • Smart card
  • Wristband
  • QR code

Important Information

  • The pilot phase of this service will take place during November 2025.

Announcement 04: IPS Caring Day. 

We are pleased to announce that Thursday, November 13 will be celebrated as IPS Caring Day across all sections of the school. The purpose of this special day is to reinforce our shared commitment to empathy, compassion, and kindness as core values of the IPS community. Through meaningful activities, students will be encouraged to demonstrate care and respect toward others, contributing to a positive and supportive school environment.

IPS Caring Day Activities

Community Engagement – IPS Caring Morning Kick-Off

  • Location: Entrance Gate 2 and Gate 1 area near the library: Both areas will be decorated with banners and balloons and accompanied by uplifting music.
  • Activity: Distribution of Caring Cards

Falcons’ Nest

  • Activity: Coloring, stickers, “What is Kindness?” talk, and the IPS Caring Pledge.
  • Student representatives (1–2 girls) will visit each class between 9:35–9:45 a.m. (morning recess) to distribute activity books and bookmarks and lead a brief two-minute talk about kindness. Each class will end by taking the IPS Caring Pledge.

KG1 and KG2

  • Activity: Coloring, stickers, “What is Kindness?” talk, and the IPS Caring Pledge.
  • Student representatives (1–2 girls) will visit each class between 9:35–9:45 a.m. to distribute activity materials and lead a short discussion on kindness. Each class will complete the IPS Caring Pledge.

Grades 1–3

  • Activity: “I Can Show Kindness” elementary activity and distribution of bookmarks.
  • During homeroom (7:45–8:00 a.m.), student representatives will visit each class to distribute bookmarks and lead a short two-minute discussion on kindness. Each class will take the IPS Caring Pledge.

Grades 4–5 (Girls)

  • Activity: Students will exchange caring notes and distribute kindness bracelets secretly prepared for their friends, along with cards of kind words, during homeroom.

Grades 4–5 (Boys)

  • Activity: STUCO representatives will visit homerooms to distribute IPS Caring Day stickers and give a short talk on the importance of kindness and positive actions.

Grades 6–12 (Girls)

  • Activity: Cookies secretly ordered for friends will be distributed during homeroom. Each floor of Building B will include a Shout-Out Wall dedicated to Caring Day, allowing students to celebrate peers for acts of kindness and positive contributions. The activity will be supervised.

Grades 6–12 (Boys)

  • Activity: Caring Day bracelets will be sold on Wednesday. During homeroom, STUCO representatives will distribute Bingo Cards that students will use throughout the day to collect 

Ehsan Points by completing acts of kindness.
