Announcement 01:

Breast Cancer Awareness campaign

Dear IPS Students and Parents,

Breast cancer affects millions of individuals and their families worldwide, making awareness and education vital in the fight against this disease. The National Honor’s Society has always prioritized this important issue, understanding that raising awareness can lead to early detection and better outcomes for those impacted. Through our various initiatives, we aim to educate our community about breast cancer while providing support for those in need. We invite you to join us in our efforts as we organize several exciting events in the upcoming days to promote breast cancer awareness.

Breast Cancer Awareness related items will be sold on Tuesday October 15 until Thursday October 24. Here’s what will be available:

  • Shirts: 40 SAR
  • Glasses: 20 SAR
  • Bundle (Shirt + Heart Glasses): 50 SAR
  • Bracelets: 5 SAR
  • Pins: 5 SAR

And a LOT more!  Show your support by raising awareness!

Note: The shirts sold can be worn as IPS Uniform on regular school days

As part of our awareness campaign this month, we are excited to announce a special collaboration with Johns Hopkins, Dhahran. They have graciously provided IPS students with the opportunity to create a dedicated space on a wall in the cancer unit where encouraging notes to patients can be displayed.

The National Honor Society will distribute notecards to students through their homeroom teachers (Girls' side) or the administration office (Boys' side). We encourage everyone to participate by writing heartfelt messages of support. Our team will select the best notes to hang on the wall, spreading positivity and hope to those facing challenges in their battle against cancer.

On this upcoming Thursday, we encourage all students to wear the NHS shirt or pink to showcase their support for this significant cause. Other activities are also planned for this day.

Chalk Drawing in support Breast Cancer awareness will take place next Sunday and Monday for the elementary and girls' sections.

During lunch, we will be hosting bracelet-making sessions in the 4th-grade hall on the girls' side. Each bracelet will cost 5 riyals.

Best Regards,

NHS Secretary
